Buyer numbers at Sydney auctions have continued to improve over the past two months, further boosted by the election result and the subsequent APRA statements flagging some loosening of lending criteria around serviceability for some borrowers. Sydney auction clearance rates have jumped again over the last two weeks and this improving activity in the Sydney real estate market has begun to trickle down to surrounding markets such as Wollongong.
